As a foreign citizen, you can make a certain minimum real estate investment under the “Citizenship by Investment” program to obtain citizenship by purchasing property in Turkey and then apply for citizenship. The value of the investment is 400,000 USD as of June 13, 2022 with the amendment of Decision No. 5554 adopted on May 13, 2022.
Can I obtain a 'residence permit' through property acquisition in Turkey?
Yes, the purchase of real estate in Turkey as a foreign citizen provides a way to apply for a residence permit. A residence permit can be applied for after real estate purchase, but the duration and conditions of the permit may vary.
What is the minimum investment requirement for foreigners to obtain a 'residence permit' by acquiring property in Turkey?
On October 16, 2023, with the new law, in order to obtain a residence permit with a title deed, it is now required to purchase a residence worth at least 200,000 USD in major cities. In addition to this amount, the property to be purchased must not be located in neighborhoods that are closed to residence permit applications
